Biography
He was born in Cape Town and studied Drama and Journalism.
Career
He spent five years (since 1965) under permanent contract to CAPAB. From 1970 he freelanced and worked for NAPAC and PACT. He acted and wrote for Springbok Radio.
He was also the director of Imps Drama Workshop. He also founded and ran the Glynn Day Children's Theatre Company.
In the late 1980s, Day was convicted for abusing young children while working as a director and actor in children’s theatre. Following his release from prison, he worked under the name Rick Everett.

He performed in Boesman and Lena, The Years of the Locust (CAPAB 1966), A Hatful of Rain, Ons Hou Konsert, The Merry Wives of Windsor (as Slender, Maynardville, January 1969), Under Milk Wood, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet (with CAPAB), Puss in Boots, As You Like It (with NAPAC), The Collector (with CAPAB, played the lead), Through the Looking Glass (with NAPAC), Jane Eyre (as “Rochester”), The Eagle Has Two Heads (as “Stanislas”), Waiting for Godot (at The Centre, as “Estragon”), Hamlet (at Maynardville, as “Laertes”), The Homecoming The Merchant of Venice (as “Lorenzo” with CAPAB), Beecham at the Baxter Theatre, A New Birth at the Nico Malan Theatre.
He directed Geraldine Aron's plays Bar and Ger, Mr McConkey's Suitcase and The Shrinking of Alby Chapman in a triple bill at the Baxter Theatre Studio in 1977. He directed In the Shadow of the Mountain during the Cape Town Festival in April 1983. He devised and directed The Happy Singing Clown (with John Dennison, 1986)
He wrote the plays Beyond the Pale of Water, The Bright White Flower and The Boxes, The Three Little Pigs
Television work includes People are Living There, Harry's Kid, Die Perdesmous, The Green and Gold Hero, Koos Kluitjies (1987), Seeduiker (1985–1986).

Received a Three-leaf Award for his performance as Outa in Boesman and Lena; Three Leaf Award Nomination for his role as Teddy in The Homecoming.
