Performance history in South Africa
Jo-Ann Pezarro shared the title role with Sharon Lynne in the 1981 production of this play also starring Gé Korsten and Eric Flynn and directed by Geoffrey Martin at the Pretoria State Theatre and the Johannesburg Civic Theatre.
First performed by PACT in 1982, directed by George Martin, choreography by Linda Papworth, musical director Lindsay Heard. Sets, costumes and projections designed by Timothy O'Brien and Tazeena Firth. Lighting designed by David Hersey, executed by Paul Pamboukian. Production assistant Etienne Puren. Dianne Chandler and Jo-Ann Pezarro alternated as Eva. Some other members of the cast were Gé Korsten, Eric Flynn, Johan Engelbrecht, Alvon Collison, Sam Marais and Kim Kallie.
Presented by CAPAB Musicals by arrangement with Robert Stigwood and David Land at the Nico Opera House, opening on October 27, 1994. Directed by David Matheson, starring De Wet van Rooyen, Brenda Radloff, Kim Kallie.
