Brenda Radloff (19**-). Actress, singer.

Biography

Married to composer Siva Devar, who passed away in 2003.

Training

Trained at the Drama Department, University of Natal (Durban).

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She was among the five performers who started the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre Company. Also comprising Celeste Litkie, Mark Faith, Melanie Bowles and Themi Venturas, the company was created in 1985, the same time as NAPAC's Loft Theatre Company.

She starred in A Tale of Two Cities (1984), Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s musical Jesus Christ Superstar at the Natal Playhouse in 1991.

Other productions include Exit the King (1983),An Evening with Jacques Brel (mid-1980s), Cider with Rosie (PACT 1987), Macbeth (as Lady Macbeth, NAPAC 1990), Oliver! (1994) , Evita (CAPAB 1994), Into the Woods (CAPAB 1997), The Odd Couple (1997), Menopause – The Musical (2006), Stepping Out (2006).

In 2008 she was on the panel of judges for the ACT Awards.
