Durban University of Technology
The Durban University of Technology (DUT) is a multi-campus university situated in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It was formed in 2002 following the merger of Technikon Natal and ML Sultan Technikon and it was initially known as the Durban Institute of Technology.
DUT operates on five different campuses in Durban, and two in Pietermaritzburg, offering tuition through its six faculties of Accounting and Informatics; Applied Sciences; Arts and Design; Engineering and the Built Environment; Health Sciences; and Management Sciences.
Department of Drama and Production Studies
The department is located at the Ritson Campus in Berea, Durban. The Ritson Campus is bounded on the west by Ritson Road, on the south by Steve Biko Road, and on the north and east by Winterton Walk.
Courses
Programmes are offered in this Department which, upon successful completion will lead to the award of the following qualifications:
- Diploma in Drama
- Advanced Diploma in Drama
- Higher Certificate in Performing Arts Technology
