Trippens se Patatta ("thrupenny's worth of sweet potato") is an Afrikaans play in two acts by Wilma Stockenström (1933-).

Written in Afrikaans as Trippens se patatta, it is also known as Die patatta (or Die Patatta)

The original text

The play is intended for adults and is subtitled "'n sprokie vir grootmense" ("A fairytale for adults"). The text was published as a playscript by DALRO (the Dramatic, Artistic and Literary Rights Organisation) in 1971 under the title Trippens se patatta.
