Een Jaloersche Dwaas, of Hij is Onzigtbaar

Een Jaloersche Dwaas, of Hij is Onzigtbaar ("The jealous fool, or He is invisible") is a one act Dutch comedy by A.A. van der Stempel, Jr. (fl. 1860s-1870s)

Also found simply as Een Jaloersche Dwaas.

The original text

It is claimed to be a comedy fashioned from an old manuscript ("blijspel in één bedrijf naar een oud handschrift bewerkt") and the text is contained in part 4 of Tooneelstukken geschikt voor vereenigingen, inrichtingen van onderwijs en huiselijken kring, published by Bom in Amsterdam in 1871.

Performance history in South Africa

1873: Performed in Dutch as Een Jaloersche Dwaas by Aurora II in the Oddfellows Hall, Cape Town, on 8 April, with Onteerd (Henle) and a comic dialogue called Een Luidruchtige Jaspartij (A.N.E. Changuion).
