Koning-Eenoog of Nie vir Geleerdes (lit. “King-one-eye or not for the learned”) is an Afrikaans play in three acts by N.P. van Wyk Louw (1906-1970).

Sometimes referred to simply as Koning-Eenoog.

The original text

Subtitled "'n Spel van Anachronismes en 'n Anachronisme" ("a play of anachronisms and an anachronism"), it is a highly comical, almost burlesque, satire that was commissioned by the National Theatre Organisation and was first performed by them in Bloemfontein during the Union Festival of 1960.

The text was published under the full title of Koning-Eenoog of Nie vir Geleerdes. 'n Spel van Anachronismes en 'n Anachronisme ("King One-eye, or Not for the Learned. A game of anchronisms and an anachronism") by Tafelberg Uitgewers in 1963. It was apparently also published under the more familiar title of Nie vir Geleerdes by Nasionale Boekhandel Bpk. in 1963.

Published as Koning-Eenoog of Nie vir Geleerdes by Nasionale Boekhandel, 1963.
