Trippens se Patatta ("thrupenny's worth of sweet potato") is an Afrikaans play in two acts by Wilma Stockenström (1933-).

Written in Afrikaans as Trippens se patatta, it is also known as Die patatta (or Die Patatta) and subtitled "'n sprokie vir grootmense" ("A fairytale for adults").


1965: Performed by CAPAB at the Hofmeyr Theatre, Cape Town, in October, directed by Limpie Basson with Jannie Gildenhuys, Ernst Eloff, Nerina Ferreira and Marie Pentz 1965.

The text was published as a playscript under the title as Trippens se patatta by DALRO (the Dramatic, Artistic and Literary Rights Organisation) in 1971.
