Biography

He was born in Cape Town. He is married to Dorothy-Ann Gould

Career

He joined the Market Theatre as stage manager in 1976. He became a member of Janice Honeyman's Market Theatre Youth Company in 1978.

His stage roles as actor include appearances in: Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (at the Market Theatre), Hardy Folk (with the Young Market Company) Holy Moses and All That Jazz (at the Market Theatre), Da (for Toerien/Firth), Ten Little Indians (for Pieter Toerien), A Life (for Toerien/Firth), Spider's Web (for Pieter Toerien), A Matter of Policy (1981); The Front Page (PACT); The Lady's not for Burning (1982), Another Country (1983), Royal Hunt of the Sun (as “Young Martin” with PACT); The Canterbury Tales; Animal Farm (PACT); Sly Fox; Brighton Beach Memoirs (1986); The Dybbuk (1986), The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Market Theatre), Steve Biko: The Inquest.

Stage manager for The Road to Mecca at the Market Theatre.

He was the lighting designer for the Market Theatre productions of Hellhound, Scenes from an Execution (which he also produced) and Kindertransport.

He formed Tripletake Productions with Dorothy-Ann Gould and Mark Graham in 2008. Their first production was Hello and Goodbye staged at the Tesson Theatre, and Actors Centre, Johannesburg Civic Theatre.
