Became famous as the character “Tant Kriekie” in the first Afrikaans TV sit-com Nommer Asseblief (“Number Please” – first broadcast in 1979 and well into the early 1980s.  Her performances include many other TV and film appearances (*) and she was still working late in her 80s. Her last appearance was in Sewende Laan (“Seventh Avenue”) and she was working on Villa Rosa when she fell ill.
