Paul Ditchfield ((19**-) Actor, dancer, singer.

Biography

Born c1938 in Manchester, England. Paul is married to Judy Ditchfield; they have two sons, Keaton, also an actor, and Tom.

Training

Career

He pursued a career in pop music and was a founder member of the rock group The Bats with whom he worked for 15 years in South Africa, the UK and Germany.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Performed in I Love my Wife and in the musical Barnum with PACT.

He starred in Louis Burke’s production of Barnum for PACT at the Civic Theatre in 1983. Mark Wynter shared the demanding lead role with him. He starred in Ray Cooney’s Wife Begins at Forty at the Alhambra Theatre in 1987, Michael Pertwee’s Sextet at the André Huguenet Theatre in 1990, Pump Boys and Dinettes at the Sound Stage Supper Theatre in 1990, Grease at the Alexander Theatre in 1992.

He played Mr Mole in The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13¾.

Paul has appeared in numerous television productions.
