Trippens se Patatta ("thrupenny's worth of sweet potato") is an Afrikaans play in two acts by Wilma Stockenström (1933-).

Written in Afrikaans as Trippens se patatta, it is also known as Die patatta (or Die Patatta)

The original text

The play is intended for adults and is subtitled " 'n sprokie vir grootmense" ("A fairytale for adults").

First performed in 1965.

The text was published as a playscript by DALRO (the Dramatic, Artistic and Literary Rights Organisation) in 1971 under the title Trippens se patatta.
