Jannie Gagiano (also known as Rocky Gagiano) (19*-) is a political scientist, academic, politician and actor.
Contents
Biography
He studied at the University of Stellenbosch, where he became a lecturer in Political Studies. At one time also an elected member of the Stellenbosch Town Council.
Contribution to South African Theatre, Film, Media and Performance
As a student and young academic he acted in University and local amateur plays at the Libertas Teaterklub, appearing in plays like Kwartet by Gerhard J. Beukes (1968), Die Ander Vuur (1968, an Afrikaans version of Terence Rattigan's The Deep Blue Sea), Andorra (1979)
After his retirement as academic he occasionally acted professionally for the company Vleis, Rys en Aartappels, for example appearing in Mamma Medea (2002/3), Romeo en Julia (Studie van 'n Verdrinkende Liggaam) (2005),
