Trippens se Patatta ("thrupenny's worth of sweet potato") is an Afrikaans play in two acts by Wilma Stockenström (1933-).
Written in Afrikaans as Trippens se patatta, it is also known as Die patatta (or Die Patatta)
Contents
The original text
The play is intended for adults and is subtitled "'n sprokie vir grootmense" ("A fairytale for adults").
First performed in 1965.
The text was published as a playscript by DALRO (the Dramatic, Artistic and Literary Rights Organisation) in 1971 under the title Trippens se patatta.

1965: Performed as Die Patatta by CAPAB at the Hofmeyr Theatre, Cape Town, in October, directed by Limpie Basson with Jannie Gildenhuys, Ernst Eloff, Nerina Ferreira and Marie Pentz.
