Valerie Miller (19*-). Actress, Radio personality.


Born in Liverpool. Came to south Africa in 1958, settling in Johannesburg.


Trained at R.A.D.A.


Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Roles in Kushlick-Gluckman’s revival of Clare Boothe’s The Women at the Intimate Theatre (1961), The Killing of Sister George (Cape Town 1966), Once Upon a Mattress (1967), The Lion in Winter, (1968), Private Lives and Beaux' Stratagem, Ghosts (1968), Heartbreak House, Something New.

She directed Pyjama Tops in 1963.


Three Leaf Arts Award for Best Actress for her performance as Eleanor in The Lion in Winter, 1968.

Three Leaf Arts Award for Best Actress for her performances in Private Lives and Beaux' Stratagem.
