She worked for The Space in the 1970s.

Becket (CAPAB 1963, The Seven Ages (1968), Cape Charade or Kaatje Kekkelbek, (1968), Orestes, Die Idioot by Dostoyevsky, directed by Jo Gevers for CAPAB 1969.
For The Space she had roles in The Final Heir, The Flounder Complex, Lunch Hour Theatre?, Othello Slegs Blankes, A Phoenix too Frequent, Pity About People (Pieter-Dirk Uys, 1974), Thirteen Clocks, Three Cheers for President Charlie, Tinkle Tinkle and The Final Heir. Was also a voice in Three Plays in Light and Shadow, three puppet shows put on there.
She starred in Pieter-Dirk Uys’s Scorched Earth in Johannesburg in 1989. She starred in Susan Pam’s Curl Up and Dye at the Black Sun in 1989.
For PACT she did "Aunt Alicia" in Gigi (1992). Die Waterwyser (1993) and for Pieter Toerien Jest a Second (1997).
Other productions include Fireking1, All the Rage, Faces in the Wall, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Chalk Garden, The Cherry Orchard, Cop-Out, Victoria Almost Falls, Ring Round the Moon, The Idiot, Too Many Cookes...?, Morris Panych's Vigil (2008).
She played Madam in the TV version of the popular cartoon script Madam and Eve. (SABC *, 200*)
Madam On Leave (2003) is a one-woman show written by Val with reference to her role in the television series mentioned above.
Awards, etc
Nominated DALRO Award, best actress on Afrikaans stage for Die Waterwyser, nominated Vita Award (national), best comedy actress for Jest a Second, Fleur du Cap as best supporting actress in Curl Up and Dye.
