HOFMEYR, Leonie. (19**-) Actress and director(?*). ** She acted in Glass House (The Space, 197*), **, **. Became one of the founding members of The Company and performed in Barney Simon’s production of the Marat/Sade , the official opening production of the Market Theatre in 1976. A member of the women’s cabaret trio, Skirted Issue, she did i.a. Boogie Woogie, Bubble and Squeak (Market Theatre, 197*),

HOFMEYR, Leonie. She formed part of Mannie Manim and Barney Simon’s The Companytogether with Vanessa Cooke, Aletta Bezuidenhout, David Eppel, Judith Cornell, Janice Honeyman, Sue Kiel, Danny Keogh, Lindsay Reardon and John Oakley-Smith around 1974. She starred in the PACT Arena Theatre opening production of Ken Leach’s production of The Duchess of Malfi with Bill Flynn in 1975. She starred in the ME nobody knows, for The Company at the Market Theatre in 1977. Benjy Francis directed and it also starred Leslie Mongezi, Nomsa Nene, Barrie Shah and Jonathan Taylor. Starred in Grease together with Danny Keogh, Eckard Rabe, Bruce Millar and Sue Kiel at His Majesty’s in 1977.
