On Broadway
A revue, cabaret and theatre venue in Cape Town which was originally opened in 1997 by Russell Shapiro in his popular Café Manhattan, in Somerset Road, Greenpoint.
In early 2005 it moved to 88 Shortmarket Street in the CBD and later relocated to 44 cnr Long Street and Hout Street, Cape Town, South Africa, 8001.
The inspiration for the venue came from the Muizenberg-based theatre-restaurant, Eauver The Top.
On Broadway offers an eclectic array of shows ranging from musical tribute shows, original musical shows, stand-up comedians to straight plays. Many top performers have performed at On Broadway including Pieter-Dirk Uys, Elsabé Zietsman and Marc Lottering.
