She was trained at the Maas/Phillips College of Drama in Cape Town, then worked for the Space Theatre. She ultimately specialised in children's theatre with the stage persona of Calamity Jane.

At The Space: The Riddle Machine (1977), A Flea in Her Ear (1978), Beauty and the Beast (1978), Rape – A Revue (1978), Three Courteline Comedies (1978), My Cup Ranneth Over (1978), Micky Kannis Caught my Eye (1978), The Wages of Sin (1978), The Eternal Dance.

Other performances were in Da (1979), Pertwee's Sextet (1979), Once Upon a Bootless Christmas (Baxter Studio, 1981), The Diary of Iris Vaughan (1983), Same Old Moon (1984), The Man Most Likely To (1985), Mother Goose (1985), The Three Little Pigs by Glynn Day (1986).
