The Lady’s Not For Burning by Christopher Fry. A popular verse play about Joan of Arc. Premiered at the Arts Theatre in London in March 1948, starring Alec Clunes. First staged in South Africa by the University Players in 1951, starring Philip Birkenshaw, Molly Seftel and Margaret Inglis. It was also done in 1956 (by the Arena Theatre Company, with Jenny Gratus, Robert Lang and Will Jamieson), 197* (the Langford-Inglis Company and NAPAC, with directed by Margaret Inglis, with Michael Atkinson and Nan Munro),
