2000: Performed at the Broomhill Opera House in London as The Guests by A Million Freds Productions, directed by Joe Marston 27 April - 3 June. Lighting by Mannie Manim and set was designed by Liz Cooke

The original text

Guests was developed through improvisation by De Wijn, working with Dutch and South African students in terms of a special exchange arrangement between the Dutch theatre company De Appel in Den Haag and South African institutions. The piece was then first performed in the Netherlands by Toneelgroep De Appel in the Appeltheater, 's-Gravenhage, on 7 June, 2008 as part of the 08 Feest in Den Haag, part of a trilogy of short experimental plays similarly commissioned (the other two were Power by Jaoc Bouwer and Insomnia by Mike van Graan).

2008: Guests was performed at the KKNK festival, as part of a trilogy of short experimental plays (along with Insomnia by Mike van Graan and Power by Jaco Bouwer). Also done in Cape Town, at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown and at the 969 Festival in Braamfontein.
