Power is a performance piece by Jaco Bouwer (1973-).

The original text

A conceptual work, the play looks at the powerplay within a family and loved ones, couched as a "dinner for two"

Power was developed by Bouwer, working with Dutch and South African students for a rehearsal period of three weeks in terms of a special exchange arrangement between the Dutch theatre company De Appel in Den Haag and South African institutions. The piece was then first performed at the 08 Feest in Den Haag on 7 June, 2008, as one of a trilogy of short experimental plays similarly commissioned (the other two were Guests by Wannie de Wijn and Insomnia by Mike van Graan).
