Alida Theron (19**- ). A South African actress.

Training
She studied at the University of Pretoria Drama Department in the late 1970s, where she had a role in a student production of Die Storm in 1978. She completed her honours degree in Drama at UCT.
Career
From 1981 to 1984 she worked for PACT, after which she embarked on a freelance career.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Alida played "Rossignol" in a Little Theatre production of Marat/Sade, Cape Town 1980, directed by Mavis Taylor.
During her years at PACT she appeared in productions such as Hond se Gedagte as "Olympe" (1981), Twaalfde Nag as the “Hofdame” (1981), Die Vernuftige Vryer as "Bernadette" (1982), As die Turksvy Blom as "Madame Durand Bénéchol". (1982), 'n Stryd met Engele (1982), Ons Wag op die Kaptein (1983), Ek Onthou vir Mamma as "Tante Sigrid" (1983), Charley se Tante as "Donna Lucia D'Alvadorez" (1983), two roles in Die Vasvat van 'n Feeks (1983), Don Dinges met die Groen Broek as "Dona Juana" (1984) and in a production of Hotel Paradiso in Afrikaans as "Angelique" (1984).
Other productions on stage include Drie Susters Twee (State Theatre, Pretoria, 1998) and Op Dees Aarde – 'n Plattelandse storie (Aardklop 2012).
She had a role in Danie Odendaal’s television mini-series Veldslag as "Tant Johanna".
Feature films include: Kampus: 'n Varsity-Storie (1986); Wie Laaste Lag... (1986); Koringberg (2013).

She was nominated for a Fiesta Award as best actress for her role in Op Dees Aarde, award year 2013.
