Biography
Training
Studied Drama at Rhodes University, graduating with BA Honours in 1984.
Career
Joined PACT's permanent company in 1986.

Acting
While at university he appeared in the ATKV Kampustoneel production of Môre is ‘n Lang Dag which subsequently transferred to the Market Theatre. His debut with PACT was in The Comedy of Errors. He toured with Wild Honey for PACT. He has appeared in Die Ketter and Die Huigelaar (TRUK, 1986), Entertaining Mr Sloane, Looking-Glass, Die Prys, National Madness, Look Back in Anger, Wuthering Heights, The Real Inspector Hound and he starred in Telegrams From Hell and in David Mamet’s Oleanna in 1993. Acted in Women Beware Women Cape Times 16 Oct 2007 He played the role of Lenny, the director, in The Bird Watchers directed by Fugard, (Cape Times 16 May 2011)
Lighting designer for Die Rebellie van Lafras Verwey presented by The Mechanicals at The Intimate Theatre (Cape Times 22 Aug 2011).
He designed the 2011 production of Statements After an Arrest Under the Immorality Act. (Citizen 21 Dec 2011)

Awards, etc
Recipient of the 1985 AA Mutual Life Vita Award for Best Newcomer for his role in Môre is ‘n Lang Dag.
In 1987 he won both the AA Vita and DALRO Best Actor Awards for Looking-Glass.
