April 23, 1950 in Whitechapel, London, England, UK . First came to South Africa in 1973. He is married to Sue Parker.

In 19** he returned to England to continue his career there.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
In 1976?* he founded the Roundabout Theatre Company to tour the Western Cape with shows ranging from drama to comedy to street theatre and the very beginnings of industrial theatre. Was the resident director at the “People's Space Theatre” January to April 1980. .Performed in Tartuffe (as “Tartuffe” with CAPAB, 1978), The Merchant of Venice (as “Shylock” at Maynardville), Mickey Kannis Caught my Eye (as “Mickey”), Malfi (as “Bosola” at the Space Theatre), What the Butler Saw (as “Dr Ranz” at the Baxter Theatre), Hlestakov (in the lead), The Gout Inspector (at the Nico Malan Theatre), Metamorphosis (at the Market Theatre) Candide, 1977, Baxter Theatre. The Fantastical History of a Useless Manand Absurd Person Singular, 1978 (Baxter Theatre)
As a member of The Space in the 1970s he performed in works such as Animal Fair, The Duchess of Malfi, Madly in Love, Mixed Doubles, Ooh! La-La, Spike, 'Tis a Pity She's a Whore, Drive In and A Touch of 1900s. He starred in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s production of Kafka’s Metamorphosis together with Steven Berkoff, Fiona Ramsay and Ian Roberts. It was directed by Richard E. Grant and Michael O’Brien and staged at the Market Theatre in 1980. He appeared in Groucho at Large as Groucho in 1981. He starred in the Baxter production of Steven Berkoff’s Decadence together with Fiona Ramsay with direction by Ron Smerczak in 1984.
Directed Sweet Bird of Youth, Hail Wedded Love (at the Baxter Theatre in 1979), Fanshen (in 1980), The Parents (in 1980), Metamorphosis (at the Baxter Theatre Studio in 1980).
Was the co director of the Troupe Theatre Company for Guinea Fowl and Agamemnon. As director he did After Liverpool and also devised and directed Gameplay for The Space and Agamemnon
As choreographer he and Phillip Boucher did the choreography for A Touch of 1900s at The Space.
He also played the lead in the SABC’s TV version of Mickey Kannis Caught my Eye (Geraldine Aron, 19**), **.
Awards, etc
Agamemnon 1981 - winner of Fleur du Cap Theatre Award as Best Director),
Won Best Actor Cape Awards for Metamorphosis and Mickey Kannis Caught my Eye.
