Tussen Twee Liefdes
Aimer, written in 1921 by the French playwright Paul Géraldy (1885-1983) and performed during that same year by the Comedie Francaise. Translated into Afrikaans by N.P. van Wyk Louw in 1939 with the title Hélène. This translation was performed several times by theatre companies, e.g. by K.A.T. in the Little Theatre in 1940, directed by W.J.B. Pienaar.
In 1958 the title was changed to Tussen Twee Liefdes and produced by the NTO under the direction of Leonard Schach. The production opened in the Hofmeyr Theatre on 5 August 1958 before going on tour. Babs Laker, Johann Nell and Pietro Nolte made up the cast. Decor by Frank Graves and costumes by Doreen Graves.
