She was married to Errol Ross and later to Nico Liebenberg and she had two daughters.
Training
Graduated from the University of Pretoria Drama Department, 1969.
Career
She started her professional career at PACOFS.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Her first role was as Kietie in Kanna hy kô Hystoe directed by Johan Botha in 1971.
Trudie also performed in Mooi Maria, directed by Louis van Niekerk (PACT); Die Rebellie van Lafras Verwey (as “Petra”), Die Bobaas van die Boendoe (as “Magniet”), Plaston: DNS-Kind (as “Saar”), Boeing Boeing (as “Berta”), Die Wonderwerk (as “Annie Sullivan”).
She starred in the Baxter Theatre production of Seer in the Suburbs, the English translation of P.G. du Plessis's Siener in die Suburbs together with Dale Cutts, Bo Petersen and Marcel van Heerden at the Academy Theatre in 1981. 'n Seder val in Waterkloof.
