20th Century Fox is a
History
In 1956, 20th Century Fox bought African Consolidated Theatres Ltd, and in 1959, African Film Productions was bought out by 20th Century Fox and renamed South African Screen Productions.
In 1969, South African financial services group Sanlam bought the business, renaming it Kinekor. At that point, Sanlam already owned Ster Films and Ster Theatres. The government permitted Sanlam to merge three companies - Ster Films, Ster Theatres and Kinekor - which they subsequently did as Ster-Kinekor in 1970.
