Kinekor

In 1969, South African financial services group Sanlam bought 20th Century Fox's film business in South Africa, renaming it Kinekor. At that point, Sanlam already owned Ster Films and Ster Theatres. The government permitted Sanlam to merge the three companies - Ster Films, Ster Theatres and Kinekor - which they subsequently did as Ster-Kinekor in 1970.
