Jannie Gagiano (also known as Rocky Gagiano) (19*-)is a political scientist, academic, politician and actor.

Biography
He studied at the University of Stellenbosch, where he became a lecturer in Political Studies.
Contribution to South African Theatre, Film, Media and Performance
As a student and young academic he acted in University and local amateur plays at the Libertas Teaterklub, appearing in plays like Kwartet by Gerhard J. Beukes and Die Ander Vuur (an Afrikaans version of Terence Rattigan's The Deep Blue Sea),
After his retirement as academic he occasionally acted professionally for Marthinus Basson, for example appearing in Romeo en Julia (Studie van 'n Verdrinkende Liggaam) (Vleis, Rys en Aartappels, 2005),
