Don Juan onder die Boere ("Don Juan among the Farmers/Boers") is a political satire by Bartho Smit.
Contents
The original text
A comic satire using the Don Juan legend to comment on the politics and social mores of the Afrikaner, based on the Molière Moliére play (see Don Juan). Originally scheduled for performance by National Theatre Organisation (NTO) in 1959, but withdrawn as being "inappropriate". Finally performed by ** in 1960.
Published by H&R (Human & Rousseau) in 1960.
