Called an "Originalschauspiel in fünf Aufzügen"
Translations and adaptations
According to an extant version published by Bakker in Drieborg, 1898, it was freely translated into Dutch as Onteerd ("dishonoured"), a Dutch play in four acts, by E. de Sael.
Performance history in South Africa
1873: Performed in Dutch as Onteerd by Aurora II in the Oddfellows Hall, Cape Town, on 8 April, with a comic dialogue called Een Luidruchtige Jaspartij (A.N.E. Changuion and a one act comedy, Een Jaloerse Dwaas (A.A van der Stempel). (Both Koch and Conradie mention only the former piece, while Bosman mentions only the latter comedy.)
1880: Performed in Dutch as Onteerd by Aurora II in the Athenaeum Hall, Cape Town, on 3 June, with Een Lastige Overbuur (A.A. van der Stempel) as afterpiece.
