Vanessa is a multi-award-winning theatre performer and a top 50 semi-finalist in South Africa’s first Idols contest, known for her dynamic range and commanding stage presence.
Roles include:
Grease (Sandy) at the Port Elizabeth Opera House (August 2001)
Macbeth (Lady Macduff, Donalbain) at the Port Elizabeth Opera House (April 2004, July 2006)
The Rainmaker (Lizzie Curry) at Isithatha Theatre (April/May 2025)
Other roles include:
Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls (2008), Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda The Musical (2022), and both Maria and the Baroness in The Sound of Music. She’s also shone in Shakespearean roles such as Lady Capulet (Romeo and Juliet) and Titania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and performed professionally in Darryl Nel’s Dig the Beat! at Artscape.
