Many productions over the years include:
1975: Bill Flynn starred as Bossola in the PACT Arena Theatre (in Rosebank, Johannesburg) opening production of Ken Leach’s production with Leonie Hofmeyr in the title role, also starring Michael Richard.
1979: The Space (Cape Town), directed by Peter Stevenson, starring Richard Carter, Carlos da Silva, John Dennison, Andrea Fine, Henry Goodman, Caroline Newby, Leon Potgieter, Clare Stopford, Duarte Sylwain, Leslee Udwin and a number of children. Designer: Vivienne Cartwright, lighting Nicholas Fine, sound and stage managers Shauna Johnson and Faruk Hoosain.
An experimental Afrikaans version??** of it was done by Think Theatre in Pretoria (197*, directed by Danie Burger, with Pieter Brand et al).
