Liesbeth Slaap Uit ("Liesbeth sleeps out") is a short story by Henriette Grové, adapted for TV by Stephan Bouwer.
The original story
The short story written by Henriette Grové, originally published in the literary journal Standpunte (June 1958) and then published in Grove's collection Jaarringe: twaalf kortverhale by Nasionale Boekhandel in 1969 and by Tafelberg Uitgewers in 1978.
The TV drama
The story was adapted in a script by Stephan Bouwer, who also produced and directed the drama for SABC TV, with Karen de Kock, Annelisa Weiland, Wilma Stockenström, Johan de Jager, Koos Bronkhorst, Rita Ehlers and Pieter Brand. First broadcast on 24 May 1976.
The TV text were published by Academica in the collections Tema en tegniek: 'n inleiding tot aspekte van die visuele en ouditiewe letterkundige media (1980) and Teks En Tegniek - 'n Inleiding tot Aspekte van die Drama (1989), both by by P.J. du Toit and A. Kloppers.
