Biography
Born in Zimbabwe, he studied at the University of Cape Town.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Tauriq has had theatre roles in The House of Kulumba (20**), Othello, Buckingham Palace, District Six, The Trojan Women, Les Splendids, The Passions, King Lear (Roy Sergeant, 20**), Oedipus (Roy Sergeant, 20**), The Bacchae (Roy Sergeant, 20**), Macbeth (Maynardville, 20**), Hamlet (Mark Hoeben, 20**), Antigone (Baxter Theatre 2004), Much Ado about Nothing (Maynardville, 2005), Hamlet (Baxter 2005), Amadeus (Baxter, 2006), Môre is ‘n Lang Dag, Deon Opperman, Innibos-fees, 2008.
He wrote and performed in the play Coconuts and Marulas, 2009.
Film work includes The Mercenary.
