Om 'n Jakkalsbessie is a 1991 full-length Afrikaans play by Marc Hosten. It deals with a boy in a household where the maid has a great influence on his upbringing. It is a post-apartheid play which looks back on the past and speculates about the future.

1993: Staged by PACOFS, directed by Gerben Kamper, with Pieter Brand (Pieter), Nomsa Xaba (Miriam), Petro-Nelise Trichardt (Mieke), Cobus Fourie (Dirk), Duma Mnembe (Sekwala) and Maurice Carpede (John). Designed by Johnny Boerstoel.
