Nomsa has appeared on stage in productions of Lobola (1980), the Gibson Kente musical Ziyabeda (December 1980), Demea (NAF 1990), Koning Lear (PACT 1990), So What's New? (Market Theatre 1991), Om 'n Jakkalsbessie (PACOFS 1993), Bessie Head’s Maru (1994), 'n Seun na my Hart (PACOFS 1994), Luc (1995), My Children!, My Africa! (PACOFS 1996), Die Pakkamer (KKNK 1996), Waarom is dié wat voor toi-toi altyd so vet? (1999).

On television she had roles in Konings, Torings and played Nonhlanhla in the SABC television drama Home Affairs 2006.

She has been cooperating with Duma Mnembe since 2000 at developing young acting talent in townships, working at the centre based in Mzimhlophe, Soweto.

She was joint winner of the FNB Vita Award Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in September 1994 for her role in Maru (script : Bessie Head; Walter Chakela).
