Lovers [1] is a 1967 play by Northern Irish playwright Brian Friel - it is broken into two parts, Winners and Losers, which are sometimes staged independently as one-act plays.

Lovers (by Brian Friel)

1971: Winners was staged by the Libertas Teaterklub in Stellenbosch, directed by Marie van Heerden, with Sharon Montgomery as Mag and Johann van Heerden as Joe. The production then moved to the Hofmeyr Theatre in Cape Town.

1972: Presented by PACT Drama at The Arena in Johannesburg in December 1972 and January 1973 directed by Hamilton McLeod. Eleanor Thomas, Bruce Millar, Bess Finney and George Jackson appeared in Winners, and in Losers Bess Finney, George Jackson, Margaret Fry and Janice Honeyman were seen.
