Performance history in South Africa
1971: The play was to have been presented in conjunction with Karel (Mrożek/) and Teenspoed (Durrenmatt/Smit) by Libertas Theatre Club under the direction of Marie van Heerden, opening 29 October 1971. However, in the absence of any theatre programme or newspaper reports (especially as one would expect in the local Stellenbosch weekly paper Eikestadnuus), it is assumed that the production never materialised.
1974: Première: In May 1974 Libertas Teaterklub presented a Hennie Aucamp prose evening under the titel Vlugsout, which included the première production of Wolf, Wolf hoe laat is dit?, directed by Marie van Heerden, with Joleen du Plessis (Matrone), Madeleine Heyns (Kytie), Margot Luyt (Lady), Annette Muller (Terblaans), Philip du Plessis (Kosta), Lally Viljoen (Truia), Brenda von Memerty (Die Kwartel), Maureen de Kock (Mathilda) and Leon van Nierop (Fons).
1989: The Libertas Teaterklub again hosted a performance of the play, this time by CAPAB's Afrikaans Drama Company, directed by Herman Pretorius and designed by Pieter Bredenkamp. Presented as a double bill with By Felix en Madame.
