Luisterverhale ("stories to listen") is an audio project undertaken by Katinka Heyns and Sonneblom Ateljees, in partnership with LitNet and sponsored by the Dagbreek Trust.

The project

The project seeks to have short stories by prominent Afrikaans authors adapted and read by professional actors for recording and transmission as podcasts.[1]

The first batch of stories recorded include works by Audrey Blignault, Barry Hough, Breyten Breytenbach, Chris Barnard, Elsa Joubert, Eugène Marais, Fransie Philips, Hennie Aucamp, Jan Rabie, Jan Spies, J.M. Gilfillan, Petra Müller, P.G. du Plessis and Riana Scheepers. The podcasts were made available weekly on LitNet from 22 February 2024, links posted in LitNet.
