Lady Windermere’s Fan by Oscar Wilde, first produced 22 February 1892 at the St James's Theatre in London, first published in 1893.

Performance history in South Africa

First performed in South Africa in 19*.

1932: Directed for the Johannesburg Repertory Society in 1932 by *, followed by Elsie Salomon’s famous production with the Bantu Dramatic Society in 1935.

1952: Staged at the Little Theatre, Cape Town, on the occasion of its 21st birthday celebrations, directed by Leonard Schach in August 1952. Decor by Cecil Pym, costumes by Doreen Graves. In the cast: Joyce Bradley, Connie Dix-Hart, Fay Engelbrecht, Billie Jones.

1955: Presented by East London Technical College Drama Club at East London City Hall and Queenstown Town Hall, produced by Mary Howe.
