Afrikaans translation of The Winter's Tale by William Shakespeare. Translation by W.J. du P. Erlank commissioned by the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department in 1974, published by Tafelberg in 1975.

Performance history in South Africa

Staged by the Universiteitsteater Stellenbosch in May 1974 in the H.B. Thom Theatre, directed by Neels Hansen, with Johann van Heerden (Leontes), Lourens Voges (Mamillius), Chris Truter (Camillo), Emile Aucamp (Antigonus), Herman Pretorius (Polixenes), Jakkie Groenewald (Archidamus & Autolycus), Fred le Roux (Skaapherder & Hofmeester), Lochner de Kock (Seun & Sipier), Frans Palm (Florizel), Kosie de Villiers (Matroos), Jeannette du Plessis (Hermione), Sybil Coetzee (Paulina), Esté Heydenrych (Paulina), Bridget Collie (Emelia), Rina Nienaber (Mopsa), Michelle Venter (Dorcas) and others. Décor designed by Marthinus Basson, lighting by Emile Aucamp, costumes by Elaine Aucamp and music composed by Hubert du Plessis.
