Performed in A Christmas Carol (as “Scrooge” with PACT Playwork), Die Kersietuin (as “Epichodow” with PACT Playwork), The Great Wopperloop (as “Mr Superawful” with PACT Playwork), Macbeth (with PACT in 1980), Die Onverwagte Besoeker (in 1980), The School for Scandal (in 1980), Oh, What a Lovely War (in 1980), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (in 1981), Royal Hunt of the Sun (with PACT in 1981) and in The Real Thing (for Pieter Toerien).

Quoted from the programme notes of The Elephant Man wherein Jacobs played the role of Dr Frederick Treves in 1998: 'Andre Jacobs has appeared in over 40 productions, including The Dresser, which toured Israel, Macbeth (title role), Hamlet (Claudius), The Merchant of Venice (Antonio) and David Mamet's Oleanna at the Baxter. Andre was nominated for the 1993/4 FNB Vita Award (Supporting Actor) for Murder Among Friends and received the 1993/4 FNB Vita Award and the 1994 Fleur du Cap Award (Best Actor) for Oleanna. His television credits include Man in a Sidecar, Sweating Bullets/Tropical Heat (CBS TV), Die Binnekring, The Acts of Apostles and Hidden City. He was nominated for an Artes award for Best Actor in a Dramatic Role in Die Binnekring. Andre has appeared in 20 movies, his most recent role being that of Neil Barnard in One Man, One Vote. Andre was the popular 'Mal Oom' character in Paul Slabolepszy's Heel Against the Head at the Baxter.'
