Angela, the wife and Ted, the agent, are lovers and plan to murder Palmer, the actor, during a contrived robbery on New Year's Eve. But actor and agent are also lovers and have an identical plan to do in the wife. A murder occurs, but not one of the planned ones.

1977: Directed by Roger Redfarn for Pieter Toerien at the Baxter Theatre, 1977. Cast: Moira Lister, Barry Stokes, Nigel Davenport, Paddy Canavan, Norman Coombes, Lindsay Reardon. This production was also presented at His Majesty's Theatre in the same year.
1993: Directed by Murray McGibbon for NAPAC opening at the Natal Playhouse on 26 November 1993 starring Erica Rogers, Mark Mulder, John Whiteley, Pamela Perry, Roger Dwyer and André Jacobs. Costume design by Neil Stuart-Harris, set design by Gary van der Merwe. Stage manager Tracy Willan.
