The original text
A play about two pregnant women - one the abandoned owner of a farm, the other the household help whose husband is in prison - and takes look at womanhood and how women exist not just as women, but as individuals within their particular societies.

Performance history in South Africa
2007: First performed at the Theatre Downstairs in the Wits Arts Centre at (21-24 March) and at the KKNK in Oudtshoorn in April, directed by André Stoltz with Renate Stuurman, Deirdre Venter, Elton Landrew and Louis Make. Venter nominated for the Slurpie-Kanna for best emerging artists for her text.
