He was married to actress Sann de Lange, and the couple had a son, also named Morné Coetzer.

Biography

He is the son of actress Sann de Lange and Morné Coetzer senior. He was married to TV presenter Jeanne Coetzer (also known as Jeanne McCaul), daughter of Hermien Dommisse.

Contribution to South African theatre, film, media and performance

He joined the Cape Regional Theatre circa 1962. He has appeared on stage in productions such as Die Goue Kring, Ons Dorp, , Ek Onthou vir Mamma, Anna Christie and Juffrou Edelwater. He had roles in the films Lord Oom Piet and Seven against the Sun. (Source: Anna Christie programme notes, 1962-3).
