GROOTBOOM, Mbulelo. (19**-) Actor. (Not to be confused with the actor Mpulelo Paul Grootboom).

Studied for a B.A. in Theatre and Performance at the University of Cape Town. Nominated for a Fleur du Cap Award for Most Promising Student, 2001. His professional career includes Romeo and Juliet (Maynardville, 200*), Antigone (Baxter Theatre, 2004), Hamlet (Baxter Theatre, 2005), The Suitcase (Es’kia Mphahlele/James Ngcobo, 2005), Romeo en Julia (Vleis, Rys en Aartappels, 2005), . Film work includes Apostles of Civilized Vice (200*).

Directed King Lear for the North West Arts Drama Youth Group, at the Grahamstown Festival, June/July 2002
