SMITH, Jaci (197*- ). South African stage actress, director and playwright, originally from Cape Town.

Biography
Married to actor Gys de Villiers. They moved to New York in April 2015.
Training
Graduated with a Bilingual Performers Diploma from University of Cape Town Drama Department in 1993. She also studied opera under Sarita Stern.
Career
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As an actress her theatre work includes Kwamanzi, Horn of Sorrow, Journey (Hearts & Eyes Theatre Collective), Macbeth and Boy Meets Boy (both directed by Marthinus Basson), Fiela's Child, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and Honk! both for which she got Vita Award nominations.
Amongst other plays Jaci co-created In Search of the Perfect Dish, Tower of Tongues, Virtual Bioscope (a musical), She Gau and For Better, For Wors.
She directed Noah of Cape Town in 2009.

Winner of the Fleur du Cap for Most Promising Student, award year 1994.
