Honk!
A musical comedy with music by George Stiles, book and lyrics by Anthony Drewe, based on The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Andersen. First produced at the Watermill Theatre in 1993. Winner of the 2000 Olivier award in London for "Best New Musical".
Performance history in South Africa
Anthony Drewe was invited by Artscape to direct Honk! at the Nico Theatre May-June 2000. Choreography was by Sean Bovim, designs by Michael Mitchell, lighting design by Malcolm Hurrell. The musical director was Stefan Lombard. The cast: Glenn Swart, André-Jacques van der Merwe, Natalie Yon, Elanit Levin, Jaci Smith, Paul du Toit, Christine Weir, Mortimer Williams.
